Highlights of our 2025 – 2026 program year

New London County Chapter AGO


Sept. 21 ( Sunday) at 3:00 pm – Opening Convocation at United Methodist Church of Gales Ferry, 10 Chapman Lane, Gales Ferry, CT
“Preludes, Postludes and Hymns”, members invited to perform; performances by UMCGF Chancel and Handbell Choirs.

Oct. 20 (Monday) from 4:00 to 6:00 pm –  “Monday Mingle” social time at Rocks 21 Restaurant at The Inn at Mystic, 3 Williams Ave. (corner of Route 1 and Route 27), Mystic, CT 06355



Nov 9 (Sunday) at 4:00 pm – Recital by Josh Ehlebracht  at  St. James Episcopal, 76 Federal New London.  Josh is the Organist at St. Paul’s on the Green, Norwalk.  Our chapter will co-sponsor this event with St. James as this event will culminate the church’s 300th Anniversary Celebration.

Feb. 16 at 2:00 pm – Organ Crawl and “Monday Mingle” social time in Mystic at Taquiero Restaurant, Mystic.  
Begin at St. Patrick Church, 32 East Main St., Mystic, CT(Casavant Organ)



March 14 – Roberta Bitgood Scholarship Competition at Groton Congregational Church UCC, 162 Monument St., Groton, CT
    9:00 am - 12:00 noon - Practice Time for contestants
    1:00 pm - Competition begins



March/April – Five Fridays Lenten Series at First Congregational Church of Madison UCC, 26 Meetinghouse Lane, Madison, CT(Sponsored in part by New London County Chapter)
    12:15 - free 30 minute lunchtime concerts

May – McIvor Organ Distinguished Artist Series (MODAS) - Calvary Episcopal Church, 27 Church St., Stonington, CT. Sponsored in part by New London County Chapter. (Artist, date, and time TBA)

May 15 (Friday) at 7 pm – Recital by John Dixon (National AGO Treasurer) at St. David’s Episcopal Church - 284 Stoddards Wharf Rd. (Corner of Route 12) Gales Ferry, CT 06335

May 31 (Sunday) at 2:00 pm – Annual Meeting with potluck and Bitgood Scholars performing. Location: Congregational Church of North Stonington UCC, 89 Main St., North Stonington, CT (Take exit 92 from I-95 and follow Route 2 West to Main Street.)

Meet two of our Scholarship winners

Leydet Garlobo Gonzalez (2024 winner) and Stephen Gamboa-Diaz (2022 winner) of the Roberta Bitgood Scholarship Competition performed for us at North Stonington Congregational Church. II/ 7 rank 1911 Estey Pipe Organ (Op. 910), refurbished in 1992.
